At Pimlotts Poultry (Just off the A565 between Preston & Southport) we specialise in helping the first time keeper, offering our help and unlimited advice to get you started. We supply laying hens ideal for the novice and have them available all year round, all birds are fully vaccinated & wormed.

We have also since 2007 run chicken keeping courses,
these have proved extremely popular and are often over
subscribed.

Pimlotts Poultry is not a business, but a hobby gone mad! We are Market Gardeners by trade and have to fit in our love of poultry around work that's why you need an appointment to come and see us.

We show our pure breed birds up and down the country and have had considerable success winning at all three of the major shows within the poultry calendar. I (Karen) also get to travel the length and breath of the country as a judge for the Poultry Club of GB judging at various shows.

We work closely with schools, we talk to the children and take the birds into schools so the children can have a cuddle. Some schools now even have their own chickens.
Last year we started to hire out incubators, this has proved  extremely popular especially with pre schools, all have enjoyed watching the embryonic development & hatching of chicks. Please give us a ring if you want to find out more.

Over the years our birds have led us to all sorts of media fame. Our birds have appeared in numerous books and magazines. We have done phone-ins on Radio Lancashire, and we have appeared on ITV's Grub's Up, along TV chef Simon Rimmer. and I am also one of the editors for a poultry publication 'The Poultry Journal', which is tailored towards the poultry breeder and exhibitor.

Please dont hesitate to call or e mail to find out more, ways of how to are on our contact page.
