We had an excellent year in 2006 with our birds, with reserve champion at Cheshire County & Best in Show at Southport & Ormskirk. Numerous soft feather heavy PCGB diplomas with our Australorps & Croad Langshans, & an array of silverware that would do anyone’s sideboard proud!
& best opposite sex & best bantam with a salmon Faverolles male at the national Stoneleigh, Feb '07. Best SF Light at GPC with a bantam silkie female & our son Ben was Best Junior with his Light Sussex hen, (pictured top). Best Sf Heavy at Malpas with an Australorp male, Best of breed Faverolles male at Otley, Best Australorp at Otley, Best SF heavy at Royal Highland & best exhibition pair. Minsterly best Sf heavy with an Australorp Male. Best Sf heavy & best bantam at Garstang, with a white Croad Langshan male. Best of breed at Halifax with an Australorp male & Faverolle female. Best sf bantam, with a cuckoo Faverolles Pullet & resrve Sf bantam with an Australorp male, & Reserve BIS with the cuckoo pullet at Haigh. Best in Show & best Sf bantam at Best Sf at Nidderdale with the same bird. Plus many, many more... 2007 finished on a good note with one of our Faverolles taking best bantam at the National for the second time, & our Croads at the federation coming home with yet more silverware. Although we are not showing as much in 2008 due to other commitments, we are hoping to have an equally sucessful year in the show pen. Fingers X'd!
