In conjunction with Omlet the Eglu people I will holding hen parties, novice, advanced & complete chicken keeping courses, as well as evening courses. I will be discussing feeding & welfare issues, as well as showing you how to handle your birds to check for parasites, how to clip wings etc. as well as covering many other topics & answering any questions you may have. Advanced courses will cover topics more in depth & include topics such as ailments, worming, behavior & egg formation etc. These courses are open to anyone 12 years or above, to attend they must book a place. It is not suitable for the under 12's. This is a working farm, No Dogs Omlets products will be available to view. Birds will also be available to purchase on the day from us or to order for when your Eglu/ cube arrives. Plus food, bedding, wormers & other sundries.
Places are limited. The novice course is £10 per person & will be 1 to 1 1/2 hours long. The Advanced is £20 per person & will be 1 1/2 - 2 hours long. The Complete is £30 per person & will be 2 1/2 to 3 hours long. The Condensed is £15 per person & will be 1 1/2 hours long
We based between Preston & Southport. Directions will be provided at the time of booking. Please note at present there are no toilet facilities. Plans have been passed so we hope to resolve this issue very soon. These courses are held outside, please dress appropriately & you may want to bring a paper & pen. I 'll look forward to seeing you .....
